March 2015 Update

Please take a moment to watch this segment on Fox News.  Sally and her family are friends of ours from MSK. Scarlett and Sally have been through a lot together.  Diagnosed just a few months apart, the girls both have lengthy and similar intense protocols.  We feel blessed to have gotten to know this family. They are wonderful and warm and despite everything that they are going through, they are amazing advocates for all children with cancer.  I will always treasure the moment when I was running the marathon and crossed the Verrazano Bridge into Brooklyn and there was Sally and her family welcoming me and the rest of TEAM ROAR into Brooklyn.  It was an incredibly inspiring way to start our long journey to the finish line.

This news segment exemplifies what The Scarlett Fund is all about including how targeted therapies reduce toxicity to healthy tissues and decrease long terms side effects.
We look forward to walking with friends like Sally at Kids Walk for Kids With Cancer.  Please join TEAM ROAR WALK today and help us raise awareness and funding for pediatric cancer research.  Click on the link below to join or donate!  After you have joined, help us spread the word and bring a friend, a neighbor or a classmate.
In other updates, TEAM ROAR CYCLE received a $10,000 donation today which brings our fundraising effort to just shy of $50,000.  As a team, we have raised $49,540!!!  Incredible! Thank you!
As a reminder, September is Pediatric Cancer month and the awareness color is gold.  We will work along side families like Sally’s so that one day, gold and pediatric cancer will be as well known as pink and breast cancer.  We need your help. Join our battle.  Pediatric cancer is rare but it is real.  With your help, The Scarlett Fund is growing and we really are making a difference!
