Thank you so much to all of you who walked with us on Saturday in Central Park for Kids Walk for Kids with Cancer. It was a remarkable day with gorgeous blue skies and lots of smiling children. It was wonderful to see so many of you walking with your children as well as your own parents. We had many families with 3 generations walking including our own! My father was able to visit from Texas and walk with Scarlett and Austin which was very special. With over 2500 children and adults walking, Kids Walk raised over $550,000 — 100% of which will go directly to pediatric cancer research. I really love Kids Walk because it is about kids fighting back against cancer and it’s a day for families to get together and really make a difference. Everyone had a great time and I am already looking forward to next year! At then end of the walk, I handed out The Scarlett Fund Coins for Children’s Cancer Banks which your children can use to collect spare change which they can then donate back to The Scarlett Fund at MSK. If you would like a bank, please email me!
Many of you who were unable to walk asked if they could still make a donation – and the answer is YES! Thank you so much to everyone for their continued generosity. I have included the link below:
I am also including a powerful video about a young lady from Atlanta. Please take the time to watch the video and learn more about pediatric cancer.
